On Sunday, the Rajya Sabha member used 'X' to issue a challenge to the tripartite alliance, noting, "But they would not do so because they prioritize their alliance over AP's progress," stated Vijayasai Reddy.
Reddy on Thursday said special status, a bifurcation promise reneged on by the central government, would entitle the majorly agrarian state to more Central grants, resulting in proportional reduction
"Rapid industrialisation of my state is possible if only the special status is accorded. This was a commitment made on the floor of the Parliament and was a pre-condition to the bifurcation," said Reddy.
At the all-party meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi here on Saturday, YSR CP Rajya Sabha member Vijay Sai Reddy also sought setting of the High Court in Kurnool, and establishing a national university in Visakhapatnam.
