Contract prices of enterprise SSDs for the July-September period are expected to go up 10-15 percent from the previous quarter, according to the latest report from market researcher TrendForce
The PM1653 is the industry's first 24G SAS SSD made with sixth-generation V-NAND memory chips, according to Samsung, with its storage capacity ranging from 800 gigabytes to 30.72 terabytes for enterprise server systems.
The latest consumer SSD will be available in three models -- 250GB, 500GB and 1TB -- and will be launched in about 40 countries, including the US, Germany and China.
According to the company, the SanDisk Extreme and SanDisk Extreme PRO portable SSDs are purpose-built to keep up with today's high-quality content demands.
Samsung said its 870 EVO SSD series comes in five models -- 250 gigabyte (GB), 500GB, 1 terabyte (TB), 2TB, and 4TB -- and will go on sale in around 40 countries starting with South Korea and the US.
