"Suicide bomb attack killed six people comprising two senior police officers, three soldiers and a civilian and injured six others," said Police spokesman Sadik Aden Ali
On April 21, 2019, nine suicide bombers belonging to the local Islamist extremist group National Thawheed Jamaat (NTJ) linked to ISIS carried out a series of blasts.
A BBC report citing a military official said that the bombers blew themselves up at a clothing market in Tayaran Square, in Bab al-Sharqi, as they were pursued by security forces.
The attack occurred on the outskirts of Ghazni, capital of the eastern province of Ghazni, which has seen regular fighting between the Taliban and government forces.
