A techie couple from Telangana, working in Bengaluru, died in a tragic double suicide. Bhanuchandra Reddy, reportedly unwell, hanged himself at their Kothanur residence. His wife Shazia, upon discovering his body, jumped from the 17th floor in shock. Police recovered a death note citing health issues as the reason.
Officials have confirmed seven deaths following the completion of the rescue operation by the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and the police. Earlier reports had indicated eight fatalities. The victims include four men and three women. Three injured devotees have been hospitalized at King George Hospital in Visakhapatnam.
