Undergraduate admissions in Telangana increased by 8,531 this year, with 2,13,671 students enrolling in 937 degree colleges. Officials attributed the rise partly to new courses, inclusion of five-year integrated programmes in DOST and multiple counselling and spot admission rounds
TGCHE has released the spot admission schedule for Telangana degree colleges. Colleges can conduct spot admissions on September 24 and 25, with special spot admissions on September 28 and 29. Fee reimbursement will not apply to spot admissions
Nearly three lakh undergraduate seats remain vacant in Telangana after multiple admission rounds. Low student interest in conventional degree courses, declining rural enrolment and a mismatch between eligible students and available seats have contributed to the poor admissions across colleges.
