Show cause notices were issued for selling antibiotics without prescriptions and not maintaining regulatory records.
Telangana Drug Control Administration seized fake antidiabetic, antihypertensive, and abortion pills worth Rs. 5.21 lakh from a residence in Malakpet. The seized medicines were falsely labeled as being manufactured by well-known pharmaceutical firms. One offender was identified.
According to DG, TSDCA, V B Kamalasan Reddy, the label of the product bears a misleading claim stating that it treats irregular menstruation, menopausal syndrome and amenorrhea (menstrual disorders).
