Telangana is preparing a comprehensive water conservation plan amid the El Niño threat. Proposed measures include surveying water bodies, mapping groundwater levels, restoring check dams, curbing pipeline leakages and reusing treated wastewater to strengthen drought preparedness and protect drinking water supplies.
