The World Bank has ranked Telangana among India’s top five upper-middle-income States, placing it third with a per capita income of USD 5,407. BRS working president KT Rama Rao described the recognition as validation of former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s reforms and leadership, crediting initiatives such as TS-iPASS and Rythu Bandhu for the State’s rapid economic transformation.
