Ladakh recorded over 3.3 lakh tourist arrivals from January to July 2026, reaching nearly 98 per cent of its full-year 2025 tally. June and July each crossed one lakh visitors, with officials attributing the surge to improved connectivity, infrastructure and tourism initiatives

Data from the tourism department showed that 1.60 crore tourists, including 62,806 foreigners, visited the state during 2023 as compared to 1.51 crore tourists, including 29,333 foreigners, in 2022.
