The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested Adibatla Municipal Office Town Planning Officer B. Varaprasad for allegedly demanding and accepting a Rs 75,000 bribe to process a G+4 building permit. He was caught red-handed while receiving the money through his assistant.
The municipality's town planning officer Satyanarayana was transferred to Nizamabad in September. Since then, it is relying on two town planning supervisors (TPS) who are also in-charges of Bellampalli, Naspur and Ramagundam civic bodies.
