"The issue is under investigation by technical experts of the Ministry," the Ministry of Road and Urban Development was quoted by Iranian news network Press TV as saying on Saturday.

Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari told the Parliament on Monday.

"A Sriwijaya (Air) plane from Jakarta to Pontianak (on Borneo island) with call sign SJY182 has lost contact," said ministry spokesman Adita Irawati.
