Two brothers from Umri Kolamguda village in Adilabad district drowned in a farm well on Tuesday. Police said Athram Lethu, who had been suffering from mental illness, allegedly died by suicide, while his elder brother Athram Jangu drowned while trying to save him.
The jatara ended with the goddesses’ “Tallula Vanapravesham” (entry into the forest) as the vermilion casket was carried back to Chilukalagutta and kept there until the next jatara.
