Temba Bavuma and Tristan Stubbs shared a 74-run partnership as South Africa reached 156/2 at lunch on day one of the second Test against India in Guwahati. Kuldeep Yadav struck early, but the visitors remained firmly in control.
“Rahul mentioned it later — this is his home ground. He grew up playing here, so he knows how to approach the game and maintain a positive mindset throughout the innings. He kept encouraging me to look straight, and that really boosted my confidence,” Stubbs recounted.
