Eight people were arrested for the murder of BRS worker Uppula Mallaiah in Lingampally, Nuthankal mandal, during tense gram panchayat poll campaigning. Mallaiah, who intervened during a clash between BRS and Congress supporters, died from head injuries in Hyderabad.
