ISRO has planned seven launch missions by March 2026, including the first uncrewed Gaganyaan flight, electric propulsion and quantum communication tests, and multiple commercial and strategic satellite launches using LVM3, GSLV and PSLV rockets
ISRO Chairman V Narayanan said 90 per cent of the Gaganyaan mission’s development is complete. Three uncrewed missions, including Vyommitra’s flight, will precede the crewed launch planned for early 2027, following successful air-drop tests of the crew module’s parachute system
The Gaganyaan Programme, approved in December 2018, envisages human spaceflight to Low Earth Orbit (LEO) and establishing technologies required for a long-term Indian human space exploration endeavour.
