Perplexity has launched Comet, a new AI-powered browser designed to enhance curiosity, automate workflows, and deliver accurate answers. Comet blends cognition, conversation, and action into one seamless web experience, rolling out now to Perplexity Max subscribers via invite.

Providing technical specifics, it specified that the affected software includes "Google Chrome versions prior to 118.0.5993.70/.71 for Windows" and "Google Chrome versions prior to 118.0.5993.70 for Mac and Linux".

Moreover, the browser envisions the ability to digitally sign documents using a crypto token, bolstering secure transactions and digital interactions.

Flash reached its official end of life on December 31, when Adobe officially stopped supporting the software. On January 12, Adobe also began blocking content from playing inside Flash.
