West Bengal Education Minister Bratya Basu alleged that the BJP, if voted to power in the state, would set up detention camps to deport Bengali-speaking citizens whose names were deleted from the electoral roll during the Special Intensive Revision exercise.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has accused the BJP of striking a Rs 1,000-crore deal to oust the Trinamool Congress from power, citing a viral video involving Aam Janata Unnayan Party chief Humayun Kabir. While Kabir gave conflicting statements about the video’s authenticity, Banerjee dismissed claims of it being AI-generated.
At a rally in Baishnabnagar, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee pledged to drive the BJP out of Bengal and later Delhi, while accusing the Election Commission of running the state administration at the behest of the saffron party. She also criticised the deletion of voter names during the Special Intensive Revision exercise.
The party will also set up giant screens in several parts of the state to broadcast his speech.
Various cultural programmes, including gigs by folk artistes, have been lined up at EZCC next week.
