Six members of a West Midnapore family, including two children, are critically ill after eating food accidentally cooked with acid mistaken for water. Police are probing both accidental and deliberate angles, while all victims receive treatment at Kolkata’s SSKM Hospital
A total of eight people have been arrested in connection with the incident, Police added.
The deceased's brother Samiran Dolui demanded a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inquiry in the case.
