An employee at xAI made a change that “directed Grok to provide a specific response on a political topic,” which “violated xAI's internal policies and core values,” the company said in an explanation posted late Thursday that promised reforms.

The companies expect to commit $100 billion to Stargate initially and invest $500 billion into the venture over the next four years.

In May this year, the AI company behind Grok raised $6 billion to accelerate the research and development of future technologies. The company said the funds from the Series B funding round will be used to take xAI's first products to market and build advanced infrastructure

His xAI company is currently hiring engineers and designers, apart from people for product, data and infrastructure verticals.
