A tiger killed two cows in separate incidents in Mancherial district, creating panic among farmers in Kasipet mandal. Officials suspect a tiger that migrated from Maharashtra and advised villagers to stay alert as tracking efforts continue.

Independent candidate Mohammed Anwar, 40, collapsed and died of a suspected heart attack minutes before counting began for the Jubilee Hills by-election. He had secured three votes in the first round and was contesting on the Nationalist Congress Party symbol, a clock.

A seven-year-old boy, Aakash, was killed when an unsecured iron gate fell on him while playing with his younger brother at a construction site in Bowrampet, Dundigal. Police have booked two builders for negligence and are investigating the incident.
