A tribal man from Mulugu district died after stepping on a Maoist-planted IED in Karregutta hillocks while returning from a bamboo collection. The incidenthas raised concerns about safety as police forces promote the hillocks for tourism.

A Ganesha idol being transported from Dhoolpet to Siddipet was damaged after a speeding lorry rammed into the truck near Gajwel Ring Road. The truck driver sustained minor injuries, and another car also collided with the lorry. Police registered a case.

A woman was murdered by her husband in Nennal village, Mancherial district, after he suspected her fidelity. The victim, Sabitha, was attacked at home when her children were away. Their son found her body and alerted neighbours.

The Telangana High Court Division Bench has stayed a Single Judge’s interim order that suspended the State’s Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak marriage assistance schemes.
