Hyderabad: Private bus catches fire at Medchal, no casualties

The alert bus driver stopped the vehicle and ran to safety on noticing the flames. A fire tender was rushed to the spot immediately.

Hyderabad: A private bus caught fire at Medchal on the city outskirts on Saturday. No casualties were reported in the incident. According to police officials, the incident occurred when a fire erupted from the engine and soon the flames engulfed the bus.

The alert bus driver stopped the vehicle and ran to safety on noticing the flames. A fire tender was rushed to the spot immediately.

However, the bus was completely gutted. Though the cause of the fire was not established initially, a short circuit is suspected to have led to the mishap.
