1 EME Centre to hold open rally for Boys Sports Company induction
The 1 EME Centre in Secunderabad will conduct an open rally from April 6 to 12, 2026, to induct boys aged 8–14 as sports cadets in volleyball, kayaking, and canoeing. Selected candidates will receive free training, education, and future Army enrolment opportunities.

Hyderabad: The 1 EME Centre, Secunderabad, will conduct an open rally for induction of raw and proven players as sports cadets into Boys Sports Company (BSC) scheduled from April 6 to 12, 2026, in Volleyball, Kayaking and Canoeing disciplines.
Age limit for the applicants should be between 8 to 14 years (born after 06 April 2012 and before 06 April 2018). Education qualification should be a minimum class 3 pass (any school) with adequate knowledge of English and Hindi. The medical fitness of the applicants will be ascertained by the Medical Officer of the Army Sports Institute and a specialist of Army Sports Medicine Centre. Any State/National/International level medal winners will be given priority. The applicants with any type of permanent tattoo on any part of the body need not apply.
The selected candidates will be called sports cadets and will be provided with free boarding and lodging, education up to Class 10, living accommodation, insurance, medical facility, as well as scientific coaching. Later, the eligible sports cadets will be enrolled in the Indian Army under the provisions of the Army Recruitment Rules.
