Medak: At least 10 persons were taken ill after consuming spurious toddy at two different toddy shops run by the same owner at Konthanpally in Shivvampet Mandal and Vattur village of Toopran Mandal in Medak district.

Several people from neighbouring villages consumed toddy at these two shops on Monday evening and at least 10 of them complained of uneasiness in the night. They were shifted to Community Health Centre in Toopran. The condition of Nagaraju and Venkatesh, residents of Konthanpally, is said to be serious. They were shifted to Hyderabad for better treatment.
