Siddipet: Finance Minister T Harish Rao said on Wednesday that the government will provide necessary funds to help 100 poor families build double bedroom houses on their own lands at Pullur village of Siddipet mandal.
The Minister, who was speaking after inaugurating a slew of development works taken up at the village with an outlay of Rs 4.30 crores, assured sanction of funds for two BHK houses within 45 days. “Since there is no government land available at Pullur, the government could not take up construction of 2-BHK houses so far,” he said.
He said the government will, however, sanction funds for 100 houses in the first phase to help all the poor families build houses on their own lands. The Minister has also assured to take up the modernisation works of Primary and High School buildings shortly besides laying a new road from SC Colony to Ramancha. He further said that they have already granted Rs 35 lakhs for laying old BT road in the village. Though the revenue has come down to the Telangana government due to Covid-19, Rao said that they were continuing all the welfare schemes.
Saying that that 950 persons were getting Aasara pension in Pullur village alone, Rao said that they will soon give pensions to all the eligible shortly. With an objective to provide the best health facilities to citizens of Siddipet district, Rao said that they were taking up a 900-bed hospital construction.
