Hyderabad: Eleven more students from Telangana State, who were stuck in Ukraine, arrived in Hyderabad on Monday evening safely from Bucharest. Officials from the Protocol department and families of the students received them at the airport. On Sunday, 39 students returned home from the war-hit country.
These students reached New Delhi early on Monday morning and were taken to Telangana Bhavan. After completing the formalities, they boarded a flight for Hyderabad and arrived in the city late in the evening, an official from Telangana Bhavan said.
“The Telangana government has set up a special help desk for the convenience of Telangana students at Terminal 3 in New Delhi airport. We are in constant touch with the Embassy on the movement of students and making necessary arrangements for their return,” the official said.
Three more students from Budapest are expected to arrive in Hyderabad either late in the night or early on Tuesday. The State government has made arrangements to receive all the returning students in Delhi and Mumbai airports as well. The government booked their air tickets from Delhi and Mumbai to Hyderabad.
