11-year-old boy dies as rain-damaged bathroom collapses in Warangal
An 11-year-old boy from Chintalapalli village in Sangem mandal, Warangal, died when a rain-weakened bathroom collapsed on him while he was playing nearby. The boy, a fifth class student, died instantly.

Warangal: An 11-year-old boy was killed when the bathroom of a house, weakened by recent rains, collapsed on him at Chintalapalli village in Sangem mandal on Saturday.
The boy, a fifth class student at a private school, had stayed home and was playing near the structure when it suddenly gave way. He died on the spot. Based on a complaint from the boy’s father, Sambaraju, local police have registered a case and launched an investigation.
It may be recalled that four persons have lost their lives so far in rain-related incidents in erstwhile Warangal district.
In a separate incident in Hyderabad, a pedestrian died in a road accident at Yacharam in Ranga Reddy district on Saturday.
According to the police, the victim Sabavat Lali, (37) a resident of Kadthal mandal in Ranga Reddy district had come on Saturday morning to Yacharam to attend a marriage.
“After attending the function, the woman was crossing the Yacharam — Mall road when a speeding car hit her. She suffered serious injuries and was rushed to the hospital, where she died while undergoing treatment,” said Yacharam Inspector, A. Nandeeshwar Reddy. A case has been registered.
