Hyderabad: The 117th Bonalu festivities at the Sri Simhavahini Mahankali temple in the old city will commence from July 11 with a special pooja and conclude on July 21 with a ‘ghatam’ procession to be taken out from Lal Darwaza to Nayapul Bridge.

“The festivities will be held in a grand manner. The State government assured us to extend all the support for the successful conduct of the celebrations,” said B Maruthi Yadav, chairman, Sri Simhavahini Sri Mahankali Devalayam. The temple committee members said that thousands of people are going to participate in the 10-day festival.
