11th International Yoga Day observed across erstwhile Adilabad districts
Yoga Day was celebrated across Adilabad, Mancherial, Nirmal and Kumram Bheem Asifabad districts with rallies, demonstrations and participation by officials. District Collectors and SPs performed yoga and urged people to embrace it for holistic wellness.

Adilabad: The 11th International Yoga Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm across the erstwhile Adilabad district on Saturday.
Yoga enthusiasts from diverse backgrounds, along with members of various organisations, held rallies and public events to mark the occasion. Participants performed asanas at celebrations held in the district centres and towns of Adilabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, and Kumram Bheem Asifabad in the early hours of the day. Speakers explained the health benefits of practising the ancient system of holistic wellness.
District Collectors Rajarshi Shah, Kumar Deepak, Abhilasha Abhinav and Venkatesh Dothre, along with Superintendents of Police Akhil Mahajan, A Bhaskar, Dr Janaki Sharmila and Kantilal Patil, took part in the events and attempted various asanas. They urged the public to adopt yoga as a daily habit for maintaining mental, physical and emotional well-being.
Speaking on the occasion, Venkatesh emphasised the importance of regularly practising asanas, meditation and pranayama. He said yoga could help prevent modern lifestyle diseases such as hypertension, diabetes and obesity. He encouraged people to make yoga an integral part of their lives.
