This apart, camera mounted patrolling vehicles are being used in public meetings/ rallies, processions and in sensitive areas,” Sajjanar said.

So far, 157 licensed arms are deposited with the police and trouble mongers, rowdy sheeters were bound over for good conduct. The Cyberabad police are using IT applications and doing Geo tagging application, closed circuit cameras and Cyberabad whatsapp control is used to take complaints from citizens. “Social Media is being monitored closely by three teams round the clock. Stringent action will be taken up against mischief mongers and rumour mongers who use social media to create unrest/panic,” the Commissioner said.
