16 vehicles without papers seized in Kothagudem
As many as 16 vehicles without proper documents and number plates were seized.
Kothagudem: A community connect programme was organised in Coolie Line area under Kothagudem three-town police station limits here on Friday.
Searches were conducted in approximately 250 houses. As many as 16 vehicles without proper documents and number plates were seized. Similarly, a fine of Rs 2400 was imposed on 11 vehicles. Liquor bottles worth around Rs 14,000 were seized from two belt shops.
Later, addressing the residents of the area, DSP, Shaik Abdul Rahaman asked them to give information about persons who were involved in anti-social activities to the police. The details of informants would be kept confidential.
Those who engaged in running matka, gambling as well as betting rackets and transportation of ganja were under surveillance. More than 100 police officers and personnel participated in the programme.
