Khammam: A truck owner allegedly died by suicide in Khammam on Saturday, unable to bear the harassment by a private finance company, according to his family members.
The deceased, Arvapalli Venkanna (57), a resident of Danavaigudem, was found hanging inside his lorry cabin. His family members alleged that he was under pressure over missed instalment payments and that the finance company had threatened to seize the vehicle.
The company reportedly refused his request for an extension to pay the dues. Acting on information provided by locals, the police registered a case and are investigating.
