Karimnagar: Tension prevailed here after farmers entered into an argument with each other over the purchase of urea in Indurthi of Chigurumamidi mandal on Saturday.
Farmers, who waited for urea since early morning by placing their footwear in the queue line in front of the Primary Agriculture Cooperative Society (PACS), rushed to the spot when the urea stock arrived.
However, only 200 bags of urea arrived, whereas 400 farmers had gathered at the PACS godown. With not all farmers getting the urea, arguments broke out between them even as officials stood mute spectators.
