200 kg ganja seized in Bhadrachalam, three held

Kothagudem: Police seized dry ganja weighing about 200 kg along with a car and arrested three persons at Bhadrachalam in the district on Tuesday.

ASP, Dr. G Vineeth speaking to media persons at Bhadrachalam on Tuesday informed that the value of the seized ganja would be around Rs 40 lakh. The substance, being smuggled in a car, was seized during vehicle checking on Monday evening at forest check post.

The accused were identified as Samadas, Vikram and Ganesh of Osmanabad district in Maharashtra State. They were transporting the ganja from Pasupulanka in Odisha for selling it in Maharashtra. Bhadrachalam CI, T Swamy and SI, S Madhu Prasad were present.
