200 poll staff deployed in Nalgonda for counting

Nalgonda: Arrangements have been completed at the Mahila Shakthi Bhavan here for counting of votes of election to the Nalgonda Local authorities Constituency of Legislative Council on Tuesday.

Out of the total 1,271 electors, 1,233 voters cast their vote in the polling, which was 97.01 percentage of polls. The counting of votes would be taken up by the counting staff with four tables.


A counting supervisor, assistant supervisor, a micro observer and four assistant staff were allocated for each table. In all, 200 employees have been deputed for counting the votes. The counting of votes would start at 8 am.

After inspecting the arrangements at the counting center, the district Collector Prashant Jeevan Patil said that all the arrangements have been completed for counting of votes. After the completion of counting of the first priority votes, the process of elimination of the candidates based on the second priority votes would be taken up.

The police also made tight security at the counting station. the three-tier security with 300 police personnel would be provided to the counting center.

The Covid norms would also be strictly implemented at the counting center. The pass holders, who had a certificate of two doses of Covid vaccine or Covid negative test report would only be allowed into the premises of the counting center.
