Hyderabad: Self-enumeration for the 2027 Census will commence from April 26 and continue up to May 10 in the GHMC Core Urban Region Economy (CURE) area, which includes Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, Cyberabad Municipal Corporation, and Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation (MMC), said RV Karnan, GHMC Commissioner and Principal Census Officer for 2027 Census.
Speaking to media persons here on Saturday, Director of Census Operation, Telangana, Bharati Hollikeri said after a gap of 16 years, the National Census would be carried out across Telangana, the last census exercise having been done in 2011. She said that for the first time, self-enumeration is being taken up in digital mode, allowing citizens to provide their details online.
Every resident of Telangana and the CURE area should take part in self-enumeration, which will be open from 6 am to 12 midnight from April 26 to May 10. Residents can submit their household data online through the portal https://se.census.gov.in and the process may take approximately 15 to 20 minutes. After successful submission, a unique self-enumeration ID (SE-ID) would be generated, she said.
Citizens can fill out household data for the 33-questionnaire on housing conditions (individual/apartment), amenities such as water supply and electricity, and assets, as notified by the Central government during the process of self-enumeration, she said. The questionnaire is available in 16 languages, she added.
