22.89 % polling till 1 pm in GHMC old Malakpet division repoll

Hyderabad: The repoll for the old Malakpet division recorded 22.89 per cent polling till 1 pm on Thursday.
The repoll in the division is being held after CPI contesting candidate complained about mismatch of the party symbol in the ballot paper on Tuesday. Following this, the State Election Commission suspended the polling in the division on Tuesday.
There are 54,655 voters in the division including 27,889 male and 26763 female voters. There are 69 polling stations in the divisions and 12 micro-observers are monitoring the poll proceedings while web casting was arranged at 23 polling stations. In view of the elections in the division, elaborate security arrangements have been made in the division.
