24-year-old TSPC member arrested in Jharkhand’s Latehar

Latehar (Jharkhand): A 24-year-old member of the banned outfit Tritiya Sammelan Prastuti Committee (TSPC) has been arrested in Jharkhand’s Latehar district, police said on Tuesday. Acting on a tip-off, police nabbed the accused, identified as Rohan Ganjhu, on Monday during a raid on his native village Barwatoli-Bhagia in Balumath police station area, they said.
“Ganjhu has been associated with the TSPC, a splinter group of the CPI(Maoist), for several years. Multiple criminal cases of arson, are pending against him in five police stations in Latehar and Chatra districts,” Balumath police station officer-in-charge Anubhav Sinha said. Police seized a loaded country-made rifle from his possession. Further investigation is underway, another officer said.
