28-year-old man killed as earth mover hits auto in Nirmal

A 28-year-old man died after an earth mover hit an autorickshaw in Nirmal district. The victim died on the spot, while several daily-wage earners sustained minor injuries. Police suspect rash driving and have registered a case.

Nirmal: A 28-year-old man was killed on the spot when an earth mover hit an autorickshaw in which he was travelling at Takli village on Friday.

Police said that Rumolla Pothanna from Mudhole received serious injuries in the accident and died on the spot. A few daily-wage earners travelling in the autorickshaw sustained minor injuries in the mishap. They were shifted to a government hospital in Bhainsa.


Rash and negligent driving by the driver of the earth mover is suspected to have caused the mishap. A case was registered against the driver of the earth mover. Investigations are on.
