28,101 candidates to appear for group-II test at 85 centres in Khammam

Khammam: The district administration has been gearing up for conducting the group-II examination to be held on December 15 and 16.
Additional Collector P Srinivas Reddy on Wednesday held a meeting with concerned officials to review the arrangements for the examination. The exam would be held in two sessions from 10 am to 12.30 pm and from 3 pm to 5.30 pm for which proper arrangements have to be made, he told officials.
As many as 28,101 candidates would appear for the test at 85 examination centres set up in the district and the exam would be monitored by two regional coordinators. Vijaya Engineering College principal, Dr. V Chinnaiah would be the regional coordinator-1 to supervise 40 examination centres while SBIT principal Dr. G. Rajakumar as the regional coordinator-2 would supervise 45 examination centres.
Srinivas Reddy said that the strong room would be under the supervision of district revenue officer and revenue division officer. MPDOs have been appointed as joint route officers to move the question papers to exam centres and tahsildars have been appointed as flying squad officers to check every three to five examination centers.
The additional Collector suggested that the chief superintendent and invigilators of the examination centres should hold a meeting on December 14 on conducting the examination. The chief invigilator should conduct a thorough inspection of the examination centre premises a day before.
He said that medical camps should be set up at examination centres and steps should be taken to ensure uninterrupted power supply. Special buses should be arranged by the RTC to ensure that the candidates reach the examination centres on time.
District revenue officer M Rajeshwari, ACP N Narsaiah, regional coordinators Dr. V. Chinnaiah, Dr. G. Raj Kumar, DM&HO Dr. B. Kalavati Bai and others were present.
