30 passengers injured as brakes of TGRTC bus fail in Asifabad
Thirty passengers, including one woman who was seriously injured, were hurt after a TGRTC bus suffered brake failure and veered into a cotton field near Parandholi village in Kumram Bheem Asifabad district early on Thursday.

Kumram Bheem Asifaabad: A woman passenger sustained serious injuries, while 29 others received minor injuries when TGRTC bus in which they were travelling drifted into a cotton field due to a brake failure on a ghat road near Parandholi village in Kerameri mandal early on Thursday morning.
The bus carrying around 40 passengers from Parandholi village to Adilabad suffered failure of brakes when it was on a slope, resulting in the mishap. The driver showed spontaneity and steered it into a cotton field and averted a major accident. The injured passengers were admitted to the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS)-Adilabad.
TGRTC officials heaved a sigh of relief as no casualties were reported in the mishap. They stated that efforts were on to ensure better treatment to the injured passengers.
