Hyderabad: The Medchal police on Tuesday arrested Vootla Ashok (34) of Toopran in Medak in connection with an accident that led to the death of a pedestrian.

Ashok was driving a bike in an inebriated condition and hit a woman, Bayagadi Yadamma (65), a resident of Athvelly village in Medchal on September 11 while she was crossing the road. She died on the spot.

Ashok was produced before court and remanded in judicial custody.
