350th Martyrdom of Guru Tegh Bahadur observed with devotion in Secunderabad

Hyderabad: The 350th Martyrdom of the ninth Sikh Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahibji was observed with solemnity and devotion here on Sunday. A large number of Sikh devotees from various parts of the State participated in the Vishaal Kirtan Darbar held at NTR Stadium, offering prayers to the Guru Granth Sahibji (Holy Scripture of the Sikhs).
The event was organised under the aegis of Prabandhak Committee, Gurudwara Saheb Sitafalmandi, Secunderabad, in cooperation with all the Sikh Gurudwaras of Telangana.
Bhai Anantvir Singhji (USA), Bhai Gurdev Singhji (Australia), Gyani Sher Singhji (Ambala) and other Ragi Jathas (preachers) who were specially invited from various parts of country rendered Shabad Kirtans and also threw light on the teachings of Sikh Gurus who stood for national integration, peace, brotherhood and communal harmony.
The committee members emphasised the significance of Guru Teg Bahadur Sahibji’s martyrdom, which symbolises the ultimate sacrifice for religious freedom and human rights. After the congregation culmination, the traditional Guru-Ka-Langar was served to devotees.
