Kothagudem: A mega job mela is scheduled to be organised under the aegis of the Employment Department at Pragati Maidan here November 6, stated District Collector D Anudeep on Monday.

He held a meeting with the officials of employment, electricity, municipal, medical, rural development and Panchayat Raj departments to review the arrangements for the job fair and released a wall poster.

About 36 leading private companies will be attending the job mela to offer job opportunities for the unemployed youth of the district. Candidates with Class VIII, SSC, Intermediate, Degree, Diploma, PG, CA, Engineering, MBA, MCA, ITI with trades like electrical, fitter, diesel mechanic, motor mechanic, welder and civil can attend the mela, the Collector said.

Carpenter trainees will also be offered job opportunities in private companies, said the Collector who directed the District Employment Officer to make elaborate arrangements for the event as a large number of unemployed youth are likely to attend. The interested candidates with the above qualifications can attend the job fair along with bio-data, photocopies of their credentials. Around 5,000 and 8,000 job opportunities are available and unemployed youth shall take advantage of this opportunity.

A salary of Rs 12,000 to Rs 45,000 per month depending on the post will be offered for the right candidates. It is happy to note that the companies with a good reputation have come forward to offer job opportunities for the youth, Anudeep said. Additional Collector K Venkateshwarlu, District Employment Officer, V Vijetha, DPO Ramakanth, DRDO Madhusudan Raju, Municipal Commissioner A Sampath Kumar, DM&HO Dr JVL Sirisha and others are present.
