36-year-old fisherman held for raping 8-year-old girl in Nirmal

Nirmal: A 36-year-old man was arrested on charges of raping an eight-year-old girl in a village of Laxmanachanda mandal on Saturday.
Soan Inspector Naveen Kumar said Bommareni Sagar, a fisherman, was arrested for raping the girl by taking her to his house. On being interrogated, Sagar confessed to committing the crime and said he raped the girl under the influence of liquor. The incident came to light when the girl raised an alarm. Her parents rescued her and lodged a complaint with the police.
A case was registered and investigations were taken up.
