Hyderabad: The special vaccination drive for adolescents between the age groups of 15 years and 18 years launched on January 3, is underway in Telangana at a brisk place. Within a week, government and private healthcare facilities have completed administering first dose of Covid vaccine to 37 per cent of the beneficiaries in 15 years to 18 years age group.
Out of the total 18,41,000 beneficiaries, so far, the first dose of Covid vaccine has been administered to 6,81,516 youngsters. In terms of percentage of coverage among all districts in Telangana, Mahabubnagar has achieved 59 per cent coverage, while Siddipet and Nizamabad have achieved 56 per cent.
In Hyderabad, the total number of eligible beneficiaries in 15-18 years the age group are 1,84,822 out of which 68,315 (37 percent) have received the first dose of Covaxin.
