Hyderabad: A total of 377 Telangana residents including students have returned safely from Ukraine since February 26.
Of the total, 94 arrived by various flights from Bucharest (Romania), Suceava (Romania), Budapest (Hungary), Rzeszow (Poland), and Kosice (Slovakia) to New Delhi and Mumbai airports on Friday. They have entered into these countries from Ukrainian border to board special flights to Mumbai and New Delhi.
All Telangana residents returning from Ukraine were received by the state government officials at the airports and shifted to Telangana Bhavan. They were provided accommodation and food and the state government also booked air tickets to Hyderabad.
The students thanked Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar for setting up a helpline centre in Telangana Bhavan and said the helpline was extremely useful. They also thanked the state government for the hospitality at Telangana Bhavan and free air tickets to Hyderabad.
