Hyderabad: The Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC), in a unique initiative aimed at minimising exposure to coronavirus and to save valuable time of investors, is all set to introduce new technologies of 3D view and real-time view that would facilitate them to see available lands for setting up their industries from the comforts of their offices.

Initially, the proposal is to introduce the facility for industrial parks and industrial estates of the corporation and expand its application subsequently.

The 3D view will enable the applicants to have a 360 degrees view of the plot as well as its surroundings. Similarly, the real-time view will be made available through live-streaming of the available plot, TSIIC sources have told Telangana Today. Several options have already been tested, and efforts are on to get the nod from the State government to launch the new facility, which will be first-of-its-kind in the country. Incidentally, Telangana is the first State to use Geographic Information System (GIS) mapping to locate plots available for allotment across various industrial parks and industrial estates.

Through their official portal, the corporation is already providing details pertaining to available lands from their land bank for applicants to select suitable area for their units. Using GIS mapping, the authorities are pinpointing the location of each available plot with different sizes across different sectors.

Over the last couple of years, the TSIIC has focused on preparing the database of lands available under its purview to not only protect them but also make them accessible to investors at the click of a button. They have already prepared a database of land bank of about 992.67 acres of vacant plots across 52 industrial parks in the State focusing on micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). A separate land bank has been prepared with about 1.5 lakh acres for large scale and mega industries, the sources have said.

The investors can visit the TSIIC website ‘https://tsiic.telangana.gov.in‘ and access all information pertaining to available vacant lands in the industrial parks as well as large parcels of land for their industrial needs. Besides the vacant plot availability, the applicants can also obtain information about available infrastructure and other resources, including industrial effluent treatment plant, power and water supply, road/train/air connectivity. They can also choose industrial parks based on their categories like red, orange, white and green, which indicate the hazardous emissions allowed within the industrial park.
