Medak: Medak police have arrested two members of a burglar gang and seized 4.732 kilograms of silver ornaments, 326 US dollars, and other valuables from their possession. The arrests were made in connection with a burglary reported at the residence of Kura Shekhar in Medak town earlier this month.
The theft, which occurred on June 8, involved the looting of valuables from Shekhar’s home and the theft of a Santro car parked on the premises. Acting swiftly on a complaint filed by the house owner, police registered a case and launched a manhunt for the accused.
On Tuesday, police apprehended two of the suspects, Gudala Tilak and Guddu Raju, while they were transporting the stolen property in an auto. The valuables were recovered from them during the operation.
The duo was produced before a local court in Medak and remanded to judicial custody. Police said the prime accused, Tirumal, is currently absconding. Another minor involved in the case has been sent to a juvenile home.
