Tirupati: The TirumalaTirupatiDevasthanams(TTD) performed “Shanti Homam”, a purificatory ritual, as per the tenets of VaikhanasaAgama in the Yagashala of Tirumala temple on Monday morning to ward off the ill effects and restore the sanctity of ‘ladduprasadams’ and other ‘naivedyams’ along with the well being of Srivari devotees.
After completion of the sacred event, TTDEO J SyamalaRao along with the Additional EO Ch VenkaiahChowdhary spoke to media persons. They said Vastu Suddhi, KumbhajalaSamprokshana were carried out by the ritwiks. The devotees can put aside their apprehensions and misconceptions about the quality of LadduPrasadam and Naivedyams.
Later one of the chief priests of the temple VenugopalaDeekshitulu and Agama Advisor Mohanarangacharyulu said Sankalpam, Vishwaksena Aradhana, Punyahavachanam, Vastu Homam, Kumbha Pratista, PanchagavyaAradhana were performed in Yagashala from 6am to 10 am.
After Purnahuti, KumbhaProkshana was performed and ViseshaNaivedyam was offered. Henceforth, the LadduPrasadams and Naivedyams are free from doshas and the devotees can leave aside their doubts, if any, they asserted.
